Yemeni Armed Forces bomb Israeli airbase after airport strike

Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirms that the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the Israeli Nevatim airbase in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

In a statement released on Saturday, spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a successful strike on the Israeli Nevatim Airbase, located in the southern region of occupied Palestine.Brigadier Yahya

This operation was carried out as part of the fifth phase of their support in the ongoing Promised Conquest campaign, which comes in response to the Israeli occupation's ongoing attacks on Gaza and in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their fighters.

Saree stated that the strike, which utilized a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile, successfully hit its intended target, the Nevatim Airbase, located in the al-Naqab desert in southern Palestine. The missile strike was carried out with the support of divine assistance, the statement confirmed.

The Yemeni Armed Forces expressed pride and honor in the widespread popular rallies held in Sanaa and across various provinces and districts in Yemen, showing unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. They also reiterated their commitment to continue their military operations against Israeli forces until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the blockade is lifted.

Saree concluded by reaffirming the Yemeni military's dedication to its religious, moral, and humanitarian duties, emphasizing that the struggle against Israeli occupation will persist with further military actions in defense of Gaza and Palestine.

Yemen attacks Ben Gurion airportyemen-1

The YAF carried out a top-tier military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied Yafa region with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile, spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on Friday.

The missile successfully reached its target despite the enemy’s attempts to conceal it and resulted in casualties and the suspension of airport operations, Saree confirmed.

He also said that the YAF's UAV Force conducted a military operation targeting a vital Israeli site in the occupied Yafa region (Tel Aviv) using a drone, which achieved its objective successfully.

Moreover, the UAV Force carried out another operation targeting the ship Santa Ursula in the Arabian Sea east of Socotra Island using several drones, achieving a direct hit, the spokesperson confirmed.

The targeting of the ship came after its owning company violated the ban imposed by the YAF on entering the ports of occupied Palestine, Saree said.

On Thursday, the Israeli occupation launched a large-scale attack on Yemen while the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, was delivering his speech.

A source told Al Mayadeen that the Israeli aggression on Sanaa and al-Hodeidah targeted civilian facilities and was carried out with the US and UK's coordination and support.

The source also said that targeting civilian facilities is evidence of the occupation's failure to have a clear target list within the country, stressing that this "will not change the course of the war and will be met with a similar response."

Al Mayadeen's correspondent, in turn, also confirmed that the Israeli occupation's aggression targeted a gathering of travelers, including patients, at the Sanaa International Airport terminal, and also targeted airport control towers.

Touching on the aggression, Saree underlined that it will only strengthen the resolve and determination of the Yemeni people to continue supporting the Palestinian people.

Day 449 in Gaza: 45,484 killed, 108,090 injured by 'Israel'

The Israeli occupation continues its genocidal onslaught in Gaza, massacring civilians across the territory.

On day 449 of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, the Israeli occupation forces have committed two massacres across the enclave, murdering 48 Palestinians and injuring 52 others in 24 hours onlyGaza-martyrs-3ld.

This brings the total recorded death toll to 45,484 Palestinians killed, with 108,090 injured, since October 7, 2023.

While some martyrs were transferred to the very few partionally fundtioning hospitals across the territory, countless others remain trapped beneath the rubble, pleading for rescue that might not arrive due to Israeli obstruction and bombardment.

North Gaza

In the northern district, two Palestinians were killed and another was injured in the Israeli bombardment of Sarari Street in Jabalia.

Since the early hours of Saturday morning, a significant number of displaced Palestinians and medical staff fled Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia and arrived to the vicinity of Halima al-Saadiya school in al-Nazla, Jabalia, before heading toward westernmost Gaza City.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Gaza Strip said on Friday evening that the fate of the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, Hussam Abu Safiya, and some of the medical staff there, remains unknown.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) conducted on  Friday a harrowing assault on Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, setting five of its sections on fire after raiding it, abducting patients and medical staff, and forcing them to strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the fire had begun spreading to all buildings of the hospital, adding that the occupation forces burned the operations and surgery sections, as well as the laboratory, maintenance, and emergency units.

In Gaza City, Israeli helicopters and vehicles opened fire toward the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, while warplanes and artillery shelling targeted areas in the al-Zaytoun and Sabra neighborhoods in the southeast.

Additionally, occupation helicopters dropped bombs on houses in the vicinity of the Abu Sharia square in the Sabra neighborhood.

Central, southern Gaza

In the central Gaza Strip, nine people were martyred and others were injured as the occupation forces targeted a house belonging to the al-Naami family near the al-Istiqamah Mosque, south of al-Maghazi camp, at dawn.

Israeli warplanes targeted the northwestern area of the al-Nuseirat camp, while the Bureij camp was subjected to warplane and vehicle gunfire.

Additionally, the occupation carried out artillery shelling targeting the town of Khuza'a, east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. In Rafah, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the western part of the city, while the occupation forces conducted new demolitions of homes.

Several injuries were reported near the Red Cross building after the occupation shelled the tents of displaced people in Mawasi, Rafah.

Israeli Army burn Kamal Adwan hospital after forcibly removing staff, patients

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported how the IOF forcibly removed more than 300 patients and wounded from the hospital despite their severe health conditions.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Gaza Strip said on Friday evening that the fate of the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, Hussam Abu Safiya, and some of the medical staff there, is still unknownIsrael burns hospital.

Our correspondent reported that a number of patients and wounded people, who were in Kamal Adwan Hospital, arrived in Gaza City on foot.

In an alarming escalation, the IOF launched an airstrike in the vicinity of the hospital, after storming its premises and forcibly displacing 300 patients. Many of these patients, who were dependent on life-saving medical devices, were left in the open, exposed to the harsh cold, further endangering their fragile health.

The director of field hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Marwan Al-Hams, told Al Mayadeen that the IOF continues to besiege Kamal Adwan Hospital and burn it, which is considered "the last operating hospital in the northern Gaza Strip."

Al-Hams confirmed the IOF was targeting all areas in northern Gaza with fire belts to empty them of the Palestinian population.

He detailed how a group of medical staff and patients went to the Indonesian Hospital and were shocked to see it was no longer operational, pointing out that there remained 25 patients unable to move inside Kamal Adwan Hospital.

Al-Hams confirmed to Al Mayadeen that, since the beginning of the war on Gaza, 1,056 medical staff have been killed, and nearly 350 medical personnel are now prisoners in occupation prisons.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported how the IOF removed more than 300 patients and wounded from the hospital despite their severe health conditions.

Our correspondent also reported that the IOF detained dozens of Palestinians from the hospital area in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said  that the IOF forced medical staff and patients to take off their clothes and took them out of the hospital to an unknown location.

The provision of health services in the northern Gaza Strip has stopped, according to the Ministry of Health, which confirmed that "we are facing a major deficit in the clinical capacity of hospitals in the Gaza Strip."

The Ministry of Health indicated that the IOF burned buildings in Kamal Adwan Hospital and destroyed all electrical generators

Gaza babies 'freezing to death' amid Israel's inhumane blockade: UNRWA

UNRWA is warning that more babies are losing their lives due to a severe temperature drop and lack of shelter in Gaza.

In the past week, at least four infants have died of hypothermia from low temperatures and a lack of warmth while living in tents in the besieged Strip.

On Friday, the head of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, said in a message on X that Gaza babies “are freezing to death due to cold weather and a lack of shelter.”

“Blankets, mattresses, and other winter supplies have been stuck in the region for months waiting for approval to get into Gaza.”

Such calls are apparently of no use within the international community given Israel’s relentless campaign of genocide in Gaza since October 2023.

Gaza health officials said on December 26 that a newborn baby died from the cold in a tent encampment in the refugee camp of al-Mawasi in southern Gaza.

According to Ahmed al-Farra, the head of pediatrics and obstetrics at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, staff in the neonatal ICU see at least five cases of hypothermia per day.

45,300 and counting. That is the number of Palestinians Israel has massacred in Gaza since October 7, 2023. The regime remains emboldened by the rock-solid support it receives from Washington.

Of that figure, more than 17,600 are children, according to Gaza health officials. As many as 17,000 children have been left unaccompanied or separated from their parents and caregivers.

UNICEF has said that babies are being “delivered into hell” in Gaza.

Türkiye allows DEM Party to visit PKK's jailed leader Öcalan

The Justice Ministry has approved the pro-PKK Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party)’s request to visit the imprisoned leader of the terrorist group’s founder Abdullah Öcalan, minister Yılmaz Tunç said FridayOcalan.

The minister said DEM Party delegation would consist of Istanbul Deputy Süreyya Önder and Van Deputy Pervin Buldan. The two lawmakers would head to Imralı Island, where the PKK leader is serving a life sentence, on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the weather.

In October, the People's Alliance, led by the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) of Devlet Bahçeli, made a historic call to end decades-long PKK terrorism for good. Bahçeli called for the jailed leader of the terrorist group to be eligible for a parole hearing and freely speak at Parliament so that he could call on PKK followers to lay down arms. Erdoğan supported Bahçeli's remarks and described it as a historic window of opportunity for a terror-free Türkiye.

"If the conditions are right, I have the theoretical and practical power to move this process from the level of conflict and violence to a political and legal level,” Öcalan was quoted as saying by Ömer Öcalan, a member of the DEM Party and Öcalan's nephew.

The PKK is classified as a terrorist organization by Ankara, the European Union and the U.S. PKK leader Öcalan has been imprisoned on an island off Istanbul since 1999.

Israel kills 5 Gazan journalists in airstrike targeting news van

In Israeli airstrike on a broadcasting van near al-Awda Hospital in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp killed five journalists from the Al-Quds Today channel early Thursday, according to Palestinian officials and media reports.hamas-journalists

The journalists were covering events at the hospital when the vehicle, marked with the word "PRESS” in large red letters, was hit.

The victims are Fadi Hassouna, Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, Mohammed al-Ladah, Faisal Abu al-Qumsan and Ayman al-Jadi.

The Gaza-based Government Media Office condemned the killing and urged the international community and rights groups to condemn Israeli crimes and prosecute them before international courts.

It added that the new victims have brought the tally of journalists killed by Israel in Gaza since October last year to 201.

Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif reported that al-Jadi was waiting for his wife, who was in labor with their first child, outside the hospital at the time of the attack.

Footage from the scene showed the van engulfed in flames as civil defense teams worked to recover the bodies and extinguish the fire.

The Israeli military confirmed the strike, claiming it targeted a vehicle carrying members of Islamic Jihad.

"Prior to the attack, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including the use of precision weapons, aerial observations and additional intelligence information,” the military claimed on X.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) condemned the killings, calling for accountability.

Israel's genocidal war on Gaza has killed nearly 45,400 people, most of them women and children, since the Hamas incursion on Oct. 7, 2023.

Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.

Daily Sabah – December 27, 2024

Over 50 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike on N. Gaza

Over 50 people died in an Israeli airstrike targeting a building in northern Gaza late Thursday, according to health authorities in the enclave.

Among the victims were five staff members from a nearby clinic, including a pediatrician, two paramedics and a laboratory assistant, the authority confirmed.

The violence comes as the conflict in Gaza intensifies.

The Palestinian sources indicated at least nine deaths in an earlier Israeli attack.

The airstrikes in Gaza City, which followed violent protests in northern Gaza, resulted in widespread destruction, including damage to key medical facilities.

Destruction continues in Gaza

Airstrikes continued on Thursday, leaving at least 10 people dead and several others injured.

Among the injured was Dr. Mohammed Salha, the acting director of Al-Awda Hospital, who sustained minor to moderate injuries from an attack near the facility.

Israeli forces reportedly used explosive "robots" to target residential areas, causing significant damage to homes and hospitals.

The demolitions were particularly focused around the Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals.

Ismail al-Thawabta, the director-general of Gaza's Government Media Office, condemned the attacks, calling them part of Israel's "ongoing genocide" in Gaza.

He highlighted the toll of over 4,800 deaths, 12,500 injuries and widespread displacement caused by Israel's military operations, which have left the region's infrastructure in ruins.

Humanitarian crisis deepens

The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate in Gaza, with over 1 million people lacking adequate shelter as temperatures drop.

Winter conditions are taking a deadly toll, particularly on displaced families.

On Thursday, reports confirmed the death of three newborns from hypothermia, underscoring the urgent need for aid.

Journalists targeted

An Israeli airstrike on Thursday also claimed the lives of five Palestinian journalists working in Gaza.

The strike hit a press van marked with the media's identification, targeting a group of journalists from Al-Quds Today near a hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted Islamic Jihad members but did not mention the journalists.

This incident follows a series of attacks on media personnel in Gaza, making it one of the deadliest regions in the world for journalists.

Violence in Jerusalem

Meanwhile, Israel’s far-right Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, sparked controversy by praying at a disputed Jerusalem religious site, in violation of long-standing agreements with Muslim authorities.

The site, sacred to both Jews and Muslims, is the focal point of tensions over religious access.

Ben-Gvir's actions further inflamed tensions in the region, with no consequences from Israeli leadership despite repeated violations of the status quo.
