Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters day 459

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 459th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalia and Beit Lahia, has entered day 95, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians while imposing a tight siege on the entire area.

Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services.

Local sources said that the Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of al-Obeid near Ein Jalout apartment buildings in central Gaza, killing two civilians and injuring others.

An Israeli warplane also bombed a house belonging to the family of Sahwil in ash-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza, killing four people.

Another airstrike on a tent sheltering a displaced family in al-Maghazi in central Gaza injured a number of people.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

In a related context, the health ministry said on Tuesday that the Israeli army committed three massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, and killed and injured at least 88 civilians, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

54 Palestinian detainees killed in Israeli prisons since Oct. 2023

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) say the Israeli occupation authorities continue to conceal the deaths of dozens of detainees from Gaza.

Fifty-four Palestinian detainees and prisoners, whose identities are known, have died in Israeli occupation prisons since October 7, 2023, two Palestinian organizations concerned with detainees affairs announced on Tuesday.

In a joint statement, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) highlighted that 54 prisoners and detainees, whose identities are known, have died since the start of the ongoing Israeli genocide, including 35 from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli occupation authorities continue to conceal the deaths of dozens of detainees from Gaza, the two organizations emphasized on the occasion of Palestinian Martyr’s Day, observed annually on January 7.

The statement also revealed that "Israel" is withholding the bodies of 63 prisoners who died in custody, including 52 since the start of the genocide, while dozens of detainees from Gaza remain subjected to enforced disappearance.

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the PPS highlighted that 291 prisoners and detainees, whose identities are known, have died since 1967, pointing out that some detainees were killed as a result of "extrajudicial executions", with their identities undisclosed.

'Israel' releases 20 Gaza detainees following reports of torture

Last week, the Israeli occupation released 20 Palestinian detainees through the Karem Abu Salem crossing, located in the far southeast of the Gaza Strip.

The 20 had been detained during an Israeli incursion in northern Gaza that began on October 5.

A Palestinian security source confirmed to Anadolu Agency that the freed detainees were transported to the European Gaza Hospital, east of Khan Younis, for medical evaluations.

"20 Palestinians arrived at the hospital after being released by the Israeli army at the Karem Abu Salem crossing," the source stated.

The released individuals reported experiencing torture while in Israeli custody.

Palestine, Jordan decry Israeli map claiming territorial rights

Amman describes the Israeli map as "provocative and baseless" and “falsely claims historical territorial rights for Israel."

Palestine and Jordan on Tuesday strongly denounced an Israeli map that inaccurately includes Palestinian, Jordanian, Syrian, and Lebanese territories as part of "Israel".Greater Israel1

An official account on social media affiliated with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, named "Israel Speaks Arabic," shared an image of a map it claimed dated back to over 900 BCE.

The account alleged that the map depicted the borders of the "Kingdoms of Israel and Judah," claiming that what it referred to as the "Kingdom of Israel" existed "3,000 years ago."

Palestinian Authority spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh condemned the map as "a blatant violation of all international legitimacy resolutions and international law."

He emphasized that Israeli provocations, coupled with attacks by illegal settlers, necessitate "an urgent international stance to stop what the Palestinian people are being subjected to from war and destruction."

Abu Rudeineh also urged the incoming US administration "to work to stop all Israeli policies, actions, and procedures that do not serve security and peace in the region."

On its part, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry described the Israeli map as "provocative and baseless" and “falsely claims historical territorial rights for Israel."

The Ministry noted that the map's publication coincides with “racist statements” made by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich regarding the "annexation" of the occupied West Bank and settlement construction in the Gaza Strip.

In March 2023, Smotrich spoke at an event in Paris, standing beside a map of "Greater Israel" that depicted Jordan as part of the occupation entity.

These Israeli actions, Amman asserted, “would neither diminish Jordan's sovereignty nor alter the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people."

The ministry also called on the Israeli occupation government "to immediately cease these provocative actions and stop the reckless statements made by Israeli officials, which are only fueling tensions and contributing to the instability of the region."

Yemeni Armed Forces attack USS Harry Truman, Israeli sites

The Yemeni Armed Forces launch renewed attacks on USS Harry Truman and Israeli military sites in occupied Palestine in a continued show of support for the people and resistance of Gaza.

In a show of support and solidarity with the Palestinian people and their Resistance, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced a series of military operations as part of the Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad battle. These actions come in response to ongoing aggression and massacres against Palestinians in Gaza.

In a significant joint operation, the missile and UAV forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea. According to the statement, two cruise missiles and four drones were deployed against the carrier as it was preparing to launch a major airstrike on Yemen. The operation reportedly succeeded in thwarting the planned attack.

The UAV forces conducted multiple strikes this afternoon and evening, targeting Israeli occupation sites.

- First operation: Two drones targeted a military site in the occupied area of Yafa.

- Second operation: A vital target in occupied Askalan was struck with a drone.

- Third operation: A military site in the occupied area of Yafa was again targeted later in the evening also with drones.

The Yemeni Armed Forces reported the successful achievement of all objectives, highlighting their precision and coordination in these missions.

In their statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Palestinian Resistance. They declared that their operations would persist until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the blockade is lifted.

Hypersonic ballistic missiles launched at 'Israel'

The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) carried out a military operation targeting the Israeli Orot Rabin power plant in the southern region of occupied Haifa, spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on Sunday.

The operation was conducted using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile and successfully achieved its objective, Saree confirmed in a statement.

He said the operation was in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their Resistance fighters and in response to the massacres committed against people in Gaza.

Yemen remains steadfast in fulfilling its religious, moral, and humanitarian obligations toward the oppressed Palestinian people, the YAF spokesperson underlined, asserting that supportive military operations for the Resistance in Gaza will continue to compel the Israeli occupation to cease its aggression on Gaza and lift the blockade on the enclave.

Abu Obeida hails Kedumim anti-occupation operation

The spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, hailed the shooting operation that resulted in the killing of 3 Israeli illegal settlers in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, Abu Obeida described the resistance fighters in Gaza as “brave heroes” who continue to demonstrate their commitment at the heart of the ongoing “Flood of Al-Aqsa” battle.

He further stressed that Israel’s efforts to deter West Bank resistance fighters from supporting Gaza are “destined to fail.”

“The enemy must know that if it continues its aggression against Gaza and the West Bank, it will pay the price with the blood of its soldiers and settlers.”

He further emphasized that the occupation “will never enjoy peace and security until our people do.”

Earlier Monday, three Israeli settlers were killed and six others injured in a resistance attack in the village of Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya, in the occupied West Bank.

Hamas seeks formation of 'national consensus government' in Gaza

A senior leader of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says the group seeks the formation of a national consensus government in the Gaza Strip.

Osama Hamdan, Hamas’s representative in Lebanon and a member of the group’s politburo, made the remarks in a statement on Tuesday, as a new round of indirect talks on a ceasefire in Gaza have resumed in Qatar's capital, Doha.

"We want a national consensus government to be the gateway to managing Palestinian affairs in this transitional phase until the Palestinian people decide to choose their leadership," Hamdan said.

He said, “The experience of negotiating with Israel has proven that the only solution to achieve the rights of our people is to engage with the enemy and force it to retreat."

The senior Hamas official further noted that Israel prevents the Palestinian people in Gaza from everything and persists in killing and destruction, stressing that the message of the resistance is that it will continue on the same path and nothing will weaken its resolve.

"Our clear position in the negotiations is a ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation, the exchange of prisoners and the reconstruction of Gaza without Israeli conditions," he said.

Hamdan’s remarks come as indirect talks aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza between Israel and Hamas have resumed in Qatar.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that the technical meetings “are still happening between both sides,” referring to meetings with lower-level officials on the details of an agreement.

He went on to say that there were “a lot of issues that are being discussed” in the ongoing meetings, but declined to go into details “to protect the integrity of the negotiations.”

According to Ansari, there are “no principal meetings” taking place at the moment

Mediators Qatar, Egypt and the United States have been engaged in months of back-and-forth talks between representatives from the Tel Aviv regime and Hamas that have failed to end nearly 15 months of the Israeli war.

A key obstacle to a deal has been Israel’s reluctance to agree to a lasting ceasefire.

Hamas calls for strong Arab and Islamic positions

The Hamas Movement said that the maps of Palestinian territories, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon that were shared on social media by official Israeli accounts with calls for their annexation “confirm the aggressive colonial nature of this entity.”Hamas Logo

Hamas emphasized that Arab and Islamic governments must take firm stances against Israeli ambitions and hostile statements.

The Movement claimed that these maps were posted at the same time that Israeli leaders declared their intention to expel Palestinians and annex Arab and Palestinian territories.

These maps and statements, it added, “confirm the nature of the Israeli entity and its expansionist ambitions, and its intentions to escalate its aggression to subjugate the peoples of the region and steal their resources.”

“Strong positions and measures from the Arab League are necessary in light of these aggressive policies and repeated public statements that coincide with the ongoing brutal war of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank,” Hamas continued.

It urged Arab and Islamic governments to oppose these aspirations, put an end to the ongoing “Zionist” crimes against the Palestinian people, and support and aid them in confronting these fascist plans that target the entire region.
