Day 461 of Gaza genocide: 46,006 killed, 109,378 injured by 'Israel'

The death toll keeps rising to astronomical figures as "Israel's" genocide in Gaza persists for its 461st day.

The Israeli occupation's relentless genocidal campaign in Gaza persists for the 461st day, massacring and maiming Palestinian civilians and families, overwhelmingly women and children.

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed three massacres, killing 70 Palestinians and injuring 104 others.

This raises the death toll, since October 7, 2023, to 46,006 Palestinians killed and 109,378 injured.

Israeli attacks force key hospitals in Gaza to shut down

The Gaza Health Ministry announced on Saturday that another major hospital in northern Gaza has been rendered inoperational due to "Israel's" actions. The Indonesian Hospital, located in Beit Lahia, "no longer provides any services to patients or the wounded," according to a statement from the ministry.

On Friday, Israeli forces surrounded the hospital, which had been sheltering many displaced Palestinians, and demanded the immediate evacuation of all patients and staff. The North Gaza governorate, which previously had three functioning public hospitals—Kamal Adwan, Beit Hanoun, and the Indonesian Hospital—now has none in service. Beit Hanoun Hospital also received an evacuation order on Saturday.

Recent footage circulating online shows Israeli tanks positioned next to the Indonesian Hospital, suggesting the facility is being used as a military headquarters.

Türkiye’s defense exports snag new record of $7.2B in 2024

Türkiye’s defense and aerospace industry's exports surged nearly 30% annually to reach a new record high of $7.2 billion in 2024, the head of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) said Friday.Turkis UCAV

This achievement surpasses the year’s defense export target of $6.5 billion by 11%, SSB head Haluk Görgün announced on the X platform.

"In 2024, our defense and aerospace industry exports, including NATO and service exports, reached a new record by increasing by 29% to $7.154 billion," Görgün wrote on X.

Highlighting the industry’s robust international performance, Görgün further said: "Thanks to our international cooperation activities and contacts, our companies have become able to export not to a certain region but to almost the entire world."

The announcement of new figures covering last year came as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared on Friday that Türkiye had reached a new all-time high in overall exports in 2024, which rose 2.5% to $262 billion.

The country's defense industry witnessed an upward momentum in outbound sales in recent years, having achieved $5.5 billion in exports in 2023, which was also a new record at the time.

Türkiye's defense landscape last year was characterized by a series of key developments and milestones, such as the maiden flight of the homegrown fighter jet Kaan and the first landing and takeoff from a ship with a short runway by Baykar's new Bayraktar TB3 drone.

At the same time, some pioneering companies in the field, such as Aselsan, have boosted global expansion by opening new offices in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chile.

Görgün, in his post, also emphasized the sector’s commitment to innovation and global outreach.

"We are determined to continue to open new horizons, break records and carry Türkiye’s technological power into the future, led by its defense industry products and advanced technologies," he said.

Looking ahead, the industry focuses on maintaining momentum and enhancing the export of high-value-added products.

"In 2025, we will continue to work with the same determination, with the goal of a permanent increase in the export of high value-added products," Görgün concluded.

10 Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza's Beit Hanoun in last 2 weeks: Local media

At least 831 Israeli soldiers killed, 5,589 injured since Oct. 7, 2023, according to military figures

Ten Israeli soldiers were killed in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun in the past two weeks, Israeli media said on Thursday.

Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth said the soldiers were killed by Palestinian fighters since the start of a military operation in the town two weeks ago.

The army said on Wednesday night that three soldiers were killed and three others injured in a roadside bomb explosion in Beit Hanoun.

According to figures released by the Israeli army, at least 831 soldiers have been killed and 5,589 others injured in the Gaza conflict on Oct. 7, 2023.

The Israeli army has continued a genocidal war on Gaza that has killed over 46,000 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

UNICEF: 74 children martyred in Gaza in first week of 2025

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reported that at least 74 children in the Gaza Strip were martyred in the first seven days of 2025, due to relentless violence.Gaza children-1

The UNICEF executive director Catherine Russell, said in a post on X, eight infants and newborn children have died since December 26, due to low body temperature, while more than a million Gazan children live in temporary tents.

“UNICEF has long warned that inadequate shelter, lack of access to nutrition and healthcare, the dire sanitary situation, and now the winter weather put the lives of all children in Gaza at risk. Newborns and children with medical conditions are especially vulnerable,” Russell added.
